Help Keep Our Beaches Clean!
Join in a Beach Cleanup with SEA LIFE Aquarium on World Oceans Day, Saturday, June 8th, 2013, and be rewarded for your efforts! SEA LIFE has adopted a beach in Carlsbad, CA, and is looking for volunteers to help clean it up from 8:30am-11:30am.
Give & You Will Receive!
Every Beach Cleanup volunteer will be rewarded with a FREE ticket to SEA LIFE Aquarium, located at LEGOLAND California. This is a great opportunity to educate your kids about the importance of keeping our oceans clean, and a neat way to teach them about volunteer work.
Register To Volunteer For The Beach Cleanup
To register, head on over to the SEA LIFE Aquarium Facebook Page, and click ‘Join’. It’s that easy! Registration for the Beach Cleanup is free! More details are as follows:
When: Saturday, June 8th, 2013 from 8:30am-11:30am
Where: Carlsbad State Beach, Lifeguard Tower 30
Why: Up to 80% of marine debris comes from land-based sources. That’s huge! The ocean and each of its natural wonders need our help to keep them clean. A clean beach is a healthier beach!
What To Bring & Wear: It is suggested that you wear close-toed shoes, sunscreen, and a hat to the Beach Cleanup. SEA LIFE will provide vinyl gloves, but it’s recommended that you bring gardening gloves and a reusable bucket to collect trash.
We plan on attending this event, and hope you will as well. We’ve already gathered our Beach Cleanup gear, and are looking forward to it. Perhaps we’ll see you there!
