Celebrating Spring At Disneyland
Spring at Disneyland is extra special with a Springtime Roundup at Big Thunder Ranch, “Egg-stravaganza” Easter Egg Hunts, neat treats, pretty Spring decor, and Disney characters dressed in their seasonal best!
6 Things To Experience During Spring At Disneyland
1. Springtime Roundup
The Springtime Roundup is where you’ll find the majority of the activities during Spring at Disneyland. The area opens 10:30am and closes in the late afternoon/early evening through April 12th, 2015. You can also experience the Springtime Roundup after April 12th on weekends (Fri-Sun), through June 7th, 2015.
Within the Springtime Roundup you’ll find photo opportunities with bunnies such as Roger Rabbit, Thumper, Rabbit, and the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny will be hopping back to his home after Easter, but other bunnies are scheduled to be in attendance through the duration of the Springtime Roundup. Disney photographers can snap some shots for you, and you can take some with your personal camera as well. The backdrops are cute, and it’s fun to meet the different bunnies.
Also inside the Springtime Roundup are an assortment of hand-painted Easter eggs. We highly suggest you take a peek at the incredible artwork on the assorted eggs. We found many of our favorite Disney characters adorned on different sized eggs.
A band with dancing cowboys and cowgirls perform in this area several times a day. We really enjoyed watching them, and listening to the band. The performers truly seem to love their jobs, and it shows!
A cute Easter Bunny Ear Hat craft is fun, and FREE! Head over to the area that says “Crafts”, and pick one up. There are crayons available at select tables. It’s a great activity when you want to sit and relax.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto can be found dressed in Springtime attire within the Springtime Roundup. The characters are available for photo opportunities. If you don’t see them, ask a Cast Member when they’ll be returning to the area.
The Spring decor is super cute at the Springtime Roundup! Take a few minutes to look at everything. So many inspiring ideas for decorating at home.
Sugar cookies are available for purchase inside the area for $6 each, and include frosting and assorted candy for decorating. This is always a fun activity! A few other food and beverage items are also for sale here as well. There are tables and benches for seating, including some nice shaded spots.
Big Thunder Ranch is always one of our favorite spots within the Park, and the Springtime festivities are a great way to experience the area. Be sure to have your camera charged with space available for some memorable pictures!
2. Disney’s “Eggs-stravaganza” Easter Egg-Hunting
Disney offers their own style Easter Egg Hunt, known as “Egg-stravaganza“, inside both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure from March 27th-April 5th, 2015. The cost is $4.95 per map and stickers for participation in the event. Quantities may be limited, so if you want to participate, you better “hop” to it!
3. Flowering Trees and Beautiful Botanicals
Inside Disneyland you’ll find beautiful flowering trees and botanicals around the Park. Disney always does an incredible job with their landscaping!
4. Seasonal Treats
From candies and cookies to other delicious delights, you’re sure to find that perfect treat to satisfy your sweet tooth! There are lots of options throughout the Disneyland Resort!
5. Pretty Merchandising and Springtime Collectibles
It’s always fun poking into the stores at the Disneyland Resort, and enjoying their seasonal displays. They have some pretty Springtime merchandise that’s perfect for Disney-lovers. This picture was taken at Marceline’s Confectionary in Downtown Disney.
6. Fireworks & Extended Hours On Select Days
Both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park have extended hours on select days during Springtime. Disneyland also has fireworks on certain days as well. Be sure to check the official Disneyland Website for details. We look forward to returning with our passes to experience Spring at Disneyland again soon. Perhaps we’ll see you there!
