As a long time Passholder, I’ve been taking our kids to the SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular event in San Diego for many years. We can never really get enough of the festive Fall celebrations throughout Southern California, and often go to this particular event several times each season. Spooktacular is a fun, family-friendly event, which really isn’t spooky at all. Here are some details about the event that I think are helpful to know before you go.
Celebrate Halloween Cheer, Rather Than Fear!
Camp Spooky is returning to the Camp Snoopy area of Knott’s Berry Farm, weekends in October! Knott’s is known for it’s history of family fun, and that’s just what they have in mind for Camp Spooky! This daytime, non-scare Halloween celebration is focused on families with kids age 3-11. Best of all, the event is included with the theme park admission!
Halloween Decor & Lots of Activities at Camp Spooky!
There are lots of fun activities planned for the Halloween celebration including:
• Charlie Brown’s Spooktacular Show
• Snoopy’s Costume Party
• Monster’s Factory Maze
• Scary Stories at The Lodge
• Creepy Crawly Critter Cave
• Kooky Cookie Painting (a small fee applies to this activity)
Discover what lurks beneath the surface Oct. 21 & 22 at the 11th annual Haunted Birch Aquarium: Shipwrecked! The entire family can soak up spooky science activities, explore the aquarium’s “wreckage” for sunken treasures, BOO-gie down with zydeco band Billy Lee & the Swamp Critters and enjoy close encounters of the fishy kind.
Haunted Birch Aquarium offers participants a fun and informal atmosphere in which to learn about ocean science. This spooktacular event is geared toward families and open to guests of all ages. Children under 2 are free, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Come dressed to impress in your best costume! Proceeds support exhibits and educational programming at Birch Aquarium at Scripps.
